6 Day Chimps Trekking & Nyungwe, On this 6-day amazing trip, you will trekk our closest relatives (Chimpanzees) in their natural habitant at Nyungwe Forest National Park. You will also  do the canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest, visit the Twin Lakes of Ruhondo and Burera, visit Lake Kivu,  Musaze city tour, Kigali city tour and various cultural encounters like the famous Ibyiwacu Cultural Village.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport and Pick Up.

You will be met by our welcoming guide/driver at the Kigali International Airport who will meet and welcome you to Rwanda “The Land of a Thousand Hills”. You will be briefed about this 6-day amzing trip, and later you will be driven to your hotel in Kigali to refresh, relax, have dinner and overnight stay. Time allowing you can go for a city tour or else this shall be conducted at day 6 of this trip.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.

After your early morning brealkfast, you will embark on you transfer journey to the mighty Nyungwe Forest National Park via Butare. Enroute visit the King’s Place and the Rwanda National Museum and after you proceed with your journey. You will reach at your accommodation in the evening; check-in, referesh, have dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and  Canopy Walk – Nyungwe Forest NP.

After your very early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters to be guided and briefed about the do’s and dont’s of Chimpanzee Trekking. After the briefeing, you will be assigned to a professional/ experienced park ranger who will lead you into the magical terrains of Nyungwe Forest to trekk these fascinating primates in their natural habitatants. There after you will be led back to the park offices to get your trekking certificates. Our guide/driver shall be waiting to take you for yet anothet amazing adventure of Canopy Walk. Later in the day, you will drive back to your accommodation for diiner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu for a Boat Trip.

After breakfast, drive to the beautiful lake resort on the shores of the Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is one of the greatest Lakes in Rwanda, and is in the Albertine (western) Rift valley, a part of the Great Rift Valleys. The lake is a 2650 Square kilometres freshwater expanse and the largest of all the lakes that fill the valleys of Rwanda. You will go for a boat safari and later return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Musanze, visit Twin Lakes and Ibyiwacu Cultural Village.

After breakfast, drive to Musanze (ex- Ruhengeri) the base town for mountain gorillas. Visit the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, Visit the Two Lakes (Ruhondo and Burera) then after spend your evening at leisure Musanze City Tours talk to Local People. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 6: Transfer back to Kigali .

Pick up at your hotel and driver to Kigali, have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi, contacts with local people for the discovery of artisanal products (Collar, Bracelet, etc.…), then transfer to Kigali International Airport.
