Bwindi Impenetrable Park Rules.

For the ecologic stability of Bwindi, and visitor safety as well, the Uganda Wildlife Authority has established the following rules:

  • Stay 7 meters away from gorillas at all times to avoid diseases that may be transmitted from humans to gorillas.
  • Photograph subjects using no flash to avoid driving away the photographing subject.
  • Follow the directions given by the guide in order to avoid driving away the game into the bush.
  • Avoid noise, let the natural silence of the forest remain.

When to Go to Bwindi Impenetrable NP.

Bwindi is open all year round; however, the best time to visit is in the drier months: June to August and December to February.
