This amazing 6-Day Chimpanzee Tracking and Nyungwe Canopy Walk Safari in Rwanda will take you tracking our closest relatives, chimpanzees, in their natural habitat in Nyungwe Forest National Park. A Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to your Hotel.

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our welcoming guide-driver from Arcadia Safaris, who will meet and welcome you to Rwanda “The Land of a Thousand Hills”. You will be briefed about this 6-day amazing trip, and later you will be driven to your hotel in Kigali to refresh, relax, have dinner, and overnight stay. Time permitting, go for a city tour, else this shall be conducted on day 6 of this trip.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Having early morning breakfast you will go for transfer journey to the mighty Nyungwe Forest National Park via Butare, en-route visiting the King’s Place and Rwanda National Museum then after head up to the Park. In the evening, reach to your accommodation check-in refresh and have dinner an over night; 6 Day Chimpanzee Tracking and Nyungwe Canopy Walk.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking and  Canopy Walk  in Nyungwe Forest NP.

After your early breakfast, you are driven to park headquarters for guidance and briefing about the dos and don’ts of Chimpanzee Tracking. The briefing will include allocating you a professional and experienced park ranger that will lead you deep into the magical terrains of Nyungwe Forest in search of the fascinating primates in their natural habitats. There after you will be led back to the park offices to get your trekking certificates. Our guide/driver shall be waiting to take you for yet another amazing adventure of Canopy Walk. Later in the day, you will drive back to your accommodation for diner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu for a Boat Trip.

Day 4 of your trip; Have breakfast and then drive to the beautiful lake Lake Kivu for a boat trip. Lake Kivu is one of the greatest Lakes in Rwanda, and it lies in the Albertine western rift valley, a part of the Great Rift Valleys. The lake is a 2650 Square kilometres freshwater expanse and the largest of all the lakes that fill the valleys of Rwanda. You will have a boat safari, and later retire to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Musanze to visit the Twin Lakes and Ibyiwacu Cultural Village.

After breakfast, drive to Musanze formerly known as Ruhengeri – the base town for mountain gorillas. Visit the Ibyiwacu Cultural Village, Visit the Two Lakes (Ruhondo and Burera) then after spend your evening at leisure Musanze City Tour talk to Local People. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation. Hence continuing with our 6 Day Chimpanzee Tracking and Nyungwe Canopy Walk Safari.

Day 6: Transfer Back to Kigali International Airport for Departure.
