6 Day Explore Tanzania Classic Adventure – with Manyara-Serengeti-Ngorongoro and Tarangire); This 6-day adventurous safari allow us to experience the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. We’ll experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of some of the most diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in trees, elephants amongst the acacias, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano.

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to your Hotel in Arusha.

Upon arrival, you will be met by an Arcadia Safaris representative, who will transfer you to your Arusha accommodation. You will have dinner here and then overnight in preparation for relaxation and sleep, awaiting the beginning of this adventure.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park.

Right after breakfast, your safari guide will meet you with a warm Tanzanian smile, then drive you through the scenic route to Lake Manyara National Park. Found just 120km west of Arusha, this compact park, as diverse as it gets, goes by the name of its wide soda lake that covers about seventy percent of its area.

The lake, which recurrently may be in flood and drought, hosts thousands of flamingos and more than 500 bird species. Monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and elephants will be some of the animals seen as we drive in the park. To the fortunate few, one can spot the lions sleeping in the trees. From open grassy plains to lush woodlands and baobab-studded cliffs, Lake Manyara does present contrasting landscapes.

After a day of adventure, we’ll retire to our hostelry, where you might sit down to an excellent meal and take time to relax in your comfortable accommodations.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, we drive to the green highlands where the Iraqw tribe grows wheat, coffee, and corn. You will enjoy magnificent scenery as you drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before heading on to the Serengeti National Park for your arrival in the middle of the day.

Spread over an area of 15,000 square kilometers, Serengeti National Park contains different topographies, including grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs, and mountains. It is also a venue for the wildebeest migration, zebras, and antelopes.

Depending on the season, a thousand animals can be seen around this place in search of food and water. From here, after an exciting game drive, we will proceed to Seronera Valley to spend a wonderful evening meal and a comfortable overnight.

Day 4: Full Day Exploration of Serengeti National Park.

Today will be a game drive to discover the incredible wildlife that inhabits Serengeti. Besides the popularity of the great migration of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests, the park also has very many other animals such as impala, buffalo, crocodile, and hippo. Migration follows annual rainfall: from November to December, from northern woodlands and hills to southern grassy plains and vice versa during the long rainy season between April and June.

You might as well see the resident predators, leopards, cheetahs, and lions among others. This day will indeed fill up with adventure and much more of wildlife; hence, we retire to our accommodation to relax, enjoy a delicious dinner, and sleep under the endless Serengeti sky.

Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater – 6 Day Explore Tanzania Classic Adventure.

After breakfast, we will drive from Serengeti National Park to the Ngorongoro Crater. First sight of the Crater might remind one of entering the lost world: steep volcanic walls surround this untouched paradise that includes rolling savannas, acacia forests, and shiny lakes and swamps. It was formed because of a violent volcanic explosion and consequent breakdown that took place two to three million years ago, hence nothing less than a natural wonder.

Descent into the Crater is, in itself, an adventure. Once you are on the Crater floor, you will encounter herds and herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, and over 500 species of birds. The Crater offers excellent opportunities for black rhino, which seldom ventures into the open grasslands. Later on, after the afternoon of excitement, we head towards your accommodation for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 6: Transfer to Tarangire NP and then to Arusha.

After breakfast, we will drive out to Tarangire National Park, well known for large herds of elephants. The park ranges in a mixed vegetation area of low hills and deep gorges along the Tarangire River. From the open top of our safari truck, we search out zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and giraffes.

You might even get a glimpse of Simba on the prowl, or maybe you could catch a glimpse of leopards lazing in the trees overhead. After a lovely lunch at the park, our adventure will be at an end as we head back toward Arusha. You will leave with a treasure trove of images from the African wilds to remember your 6-day Tanzania Classic Adventure.
