A Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Airport Pickup and Transfer to Murchison with Detour Rhino Tracking in Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
If your flight arrival is early in Uganda (preferably before noon), you will be warmly received by our guide-driver at Entebbe Airport to mark the beginning of your Murchison Falls journey. This is an iconic park celebrated for its breathtaking features, among which include the thunderous Murchison Falls and the expansive plains of Uganda’s largest national park. You will enjoy the sight of some key animals like lions, giraffes, hartebeests, buffaloes, and elephants. Hippos and Nile crocodiles pack the waterways, leaving the park with an impressive and exciting view.
For bird-lovers, the park accommodates 450 species, among which every bird enthusiast would be delighted to see the shoebill stork, dwarf kingfisher, white-thighed hornbill, and Goliath heron. Along the way, you will have a detour to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an hour of tracking rhinos at close range. A stopover will be made for lunch in Masindi before you drive on to the park, arriving in time to check in and relax, awaiting dinner and an exciting night ahead.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Boat Trip to the Base of the Falls in Murchison.
Wake up with an early morning breakfast for an early morning game drive in the northern sector of the park where you will be able to view the greatest concentration of wildlife in Uganda: elephants, buffalos, lions, giraffes, and antelopes. You will stand an opportunity to spot elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and other big mammals. 7 Day Murchison Falls with Chimps and Gorillas
After your wonderful game drive, you will drive to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls. The boat cruise offers a different dimension of the park’s wildlife and avails you with the opportunity to see some aquatic animals like Nile crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species. The highlight of the boat trip will be viewing the mighty Murchison Falls up close and seeing the powerful force of the Nile River as it plunges into the pool below. Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
After breakfast on this day, you will drive to Kibale Forest National Park, the biggest and most varied tract of tropical forest in Uganda. The park is filled with lush tropical rainforest and different primate species, including the highly threatened chimpanzees. Kibale is a popular destination for primate lovers and offers perfect opportunities for chimpanzee tracking, as well as for viewing other primates such as colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys.
The park, besides primates, is also home to over 375 species of birds, elephants, buffalos, and many other wildlife animals. After a full-day park exploration in search of the various flora and fauna, on arrival, you will drive to check-in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest – 7 Day Murchison Falls with Chimps and Gorillas.
After your breakfast, you will start the day with a pre-trek briefing, after which you will go on a guided chimpanzee trekking excursion in search of these primates in their natural habitat. Chimpanzee tracking is a very popular activity in this park, and this will give you an opportunity to get up close with these intelligent and social primates.
This guided walk through the lush rainforest will be in search of the chimpanzees, who move around the forest in search of food. This may be a bit strenuous for some guests, but viewing these interesting animals in their natural habitat is well worth the effort. After the chimpanzee trek, you will have an opportunity to relax and enjoy a delicious parked lunch before returning to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast in the morning, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and park is surrounded by communities that depend on its resources for their livelihoods and participate in conservation efforts through various initiatives. The Park lies in southwestern Uganda and is the habitat of critically endangered mountain gorillas. Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – 7 Day Murchison Falls with Chimps and Gorillas.
After breakfast at the lodge, you will go on a gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will be guided by park rangers and trackers who will lead you through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. The trek can be physically demanding, but the experience of seeing the gorillas in their natural habitat is truly unforgettable. You will trek in the course of the day while locating the gorillas in their natural habitat, which is actually an amazing experience.
These are habituated gorillas that are used to people, so you will get a good opportunity to see them living their lives as they go about their day. After viewing the gorillas, you will have a chance to observe them for a limited time (usually 1 hour), return to park headquarters for a Trekking Certificate, and our driver-guide will drive you back to your lodge for the night.

Day 7: Transfer Back to Entebbe Airport: – 7 Day Murchison Falls with Chimps and Gorillas
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Kampala from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the return to one of the most vibrant capital cities in Uganda. The driving time will take approximately 8 to 10 hours with traffic and the route traversed. Stops to mingle with communities, test traditional Ugandan food, or simply beautiful countryside scenery make the drive worthwhile.
Upon arrival in Kampala, you will be transferred either to your hotel or directly to the airport for your onward flight. This great safari offers you an opportunity to experience a very unique and memorable time with amazing primates and other wildlife in their natural environment.
